Bookkeeper/Administrator
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bookkeeper/Administrator to join a small company based in Epping.
If you are an ‘all-rounder’ with Xero experience and looking to work within a close not team then this is the role for you.

They will be accountable for the majority of the company’s bookkeeping and financial administration obligations daily, monthly, quarterly and annually. They will also be responsible for supporting the MD and the team in the day to day running of the office, undertaking basic and routine administrative duties.
A comprehensive understanding of bookkeeping and sound financial management is essential. The Bookkeeper/Administrator is a vital position in a small team.
You will ensure your sales process is a priority and data input of orders is accurate at all times to streamline the rest of our operations and provide the best possible service.
Administration/Bookkeeping Responsibilities:
- Supporting the day to day running of the office
- Answering the telephone and responding to customer email enquiries
- Processing sales orders and despatch
- Liaising with suppliers and ordering all supplies
- General office/admin tasks to support the team
- Place Stationary orders for the office as and when required
- Organising payments schedules
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Credit control (chase up outstanding payments, managing payments, receipts, expenses and adjustments).
- Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts.
- Assisting accountant for end of year accounts and doing company’s VAT.
- Report generation (debtors, profit and loss, etc)
- Basic asset management
- Company Credit Checks for new clients.
- Keeping Xero up to date
- Booking goods in
- Coordinate UK/EU transportation and paperwork (Commercial Invoice, Despatch Note, DGN, Labels)
- Supporting the team for the ISO quality management system certification
Qualifications, Skills, Experience:
- Related college qualification, degree or other appropriate qualifications
- Experience in a similar (bookkeeping) role with a high-level understanding of bookkeeping and general financial management
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience using Xero
