Finance Manager
We are working on an exciting new role for a Finance Manager to join a well established building contractors company just outside of Bishops Stortford. (Must Drive)
The finance manager will be responsible for 2 staff members and must have recent Sage 50 payroll experience. (This is a necessity) Experience of CIS would also be desirable.
Main duties
- Reporting to the Managing Director
- Responsible for financial planning, analysis and budgeting
- Complete monthly payroll and annual returns of P11Ds, P60s, yearend, and management of pension scheme
- Responsible for VAT, CIS and Corporation Tax Returns
- Managing annual departmental internal and external audits
- Work alongside external accountants as and when required
- Provide advice and guidance of forecasting and cashflow
- Responsible for completing Government trading returns
- Manage Company insurance renewal process and claims when required
- Accountable for departmental processes of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, cost reporting, credit control, expenses, accounts reconciliations
- Responsible for completing month end reports
- Support other areas of the business, such as QSs to achieve efficient processes and ways of working
- Responsible for the development and management of your team including multi-skilling to cover for periods of absences
- Any other duties as reasonably required by management
Skills and knowledge
- Confident oral and written communication skills.
- Previous Finance Management experience
- Excellent knowledge of Sage 50 Payroll, Sage Accounts, Web Contractor
- Effectively manage time to meet deadlines.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of Subcontractors/CIS is essential
