Tees Law is celebrating fine results in latest Legal 500 directory

Tees Law ascended the ranks in five practice areas and achieved five Tier 1 rankings as it enjoyed widespread success in this year’s Legal 500 directory.

In total, 26 different departments at the legal and wealth management company were ranked in the latest update of the world’s leading directory of law firms – three more than last year.

Individual achievers from the business, whose head office is in London Road, Bishop’s Stortford, included Nicola Havers and Sarah Walker, joint heads of wills, trusts, tax and probate, who were both named as Next Generation Partners. Their Tier 1 department was described as “friendly and approachable” as well as “extremely capable”.

Havers was lauded for her “emotional intelligence” and “exceptional ability to deliver practical and understandable solutions to complex family situations” while Walker was commended for having “a mastery of her subject” and responding to all questions “clearly and concisely”.

Tees was also delighted to maintain all its Leading Individuals – the directory’s top accolade for highly skilled and experienced lawyers – and Rising Stars.

A total of 11 solicitors were ranked as Leading Individuals, including senior associate Sara Stabler (contentious trusts and probate) who impressed with “her knowledge of the area, her thinking on the matter and her well-written correspondence”.

Tees group managing director Ashton Hunt said: “I’m delighted to see such strong results across the board in this year’s Legal 500, in particular the recognition of three new departments.

“It was especially pleasing to see so many glowing reviews of our solicitors’ personal care and the value their experience and knowledge brings to so many people.”

Tees, which was established in Bishop’s Stortford in 1913 and is one of the town’s biggest employers, also has offices in Cambridge, Royston, Saffron Walden, Brentwood and Chelmsford.

Catherine Mowat, senior partner at Tees Law, added: “This year’s results are a true reflection of the dedication and growth of our team.

“I would like to thank all of our clients and referrers for their wonderful feedback.”
