Daniel Robinson & Sons has donated a wall of chocolate to bring some festive cheer to families in need this Christmas.
The family-run funeral directors handed over 500 tubs of sweets to be shared between the food banks in Bishop’s Stortford and Harlow.
Daniel Robinson & Sons, which has an office in South Street and is a sponsor of the Indies community awards, presented the treats to the Michael Roberts Charitable Trust with some help from Santa Claus himself.
“We recognise that many local families are struggling this winter and we wanted to give something back to people in our local community and bring a little joy,” said managing director Gary Neill.
“Community is vitally important to us as it’s where we live and work. We care passionately about making a real difference where we can.
“As a local, family business, we would like to encourage other businesses to support the food bank. It doesn’t have to be a big gesture, but if we all contributed a little then, by pulling together, it could add up to a lot.”
