Academy launched by Tees Financial as part of long-term growth strategy

The first two participants have enrolled at a Bishop’s Stortford-based legal and wealth management firm’s new apprenticeship programme.

The Academy at Tees Financial Limited will provide candidates with a structured two-year course that combines studying for the Chartered Insurance Institute’s diploma in financial advice with hands-on experience of the day-to-day role of a financial adviser.

As well as studying for their Level 4 financial adviser exams, members will learn on the job as they shadow experienced Tees financial advisers.

Percy Sam and Guy Pearson are the academy’s first two participants, and the firm plans to welcome one or two new recruits each year.

“The academy has been set up as a key part of our long-term growth strategy,” said Tees Financial managing director James Appleby. “We are very proud to be investing in young talented individuals who represent the future of financial advice.

“We have a highly professional and experienced team of financial advisers at Tees and the academy is a chance for them to share their wealth of knowledge with people at the start of their careers.”
