Bishop’s Stortford Cricket Club is sold on the idea of having a firm of property specialists as its new main sponsor.
The Cricketfield Lane club, which will celebrate its bicentenary in 2025, has agreed a three-year deal with Russell Property.
The partnership will see the firm, which has offices in Stortford and Stansted, have its logo on the shirts of the club’s 450-plus senior and junior players.
The business will also advertise in Stortford’s fixture cards and have boards in prominent positions around the boundary.
And the backing will help the club with the upgrade of its youth facilities ahead of the forthcoming campaign.
“Having Russell Property on board will greatly assist us in improving our offering to the community we have served since the club was established in the 19th century,” said club chairman Peter Burslem.
“Their support will help us complete our new three-acre junior facility in readiness for the 2023 season.”
Russell Property director Dominic Russell, who established the business in 1997, added: “Given BSCC’s long and distinguished history and its vital role in enabling local people to access sporting opportunities, it is a cause thoroughly deserving of our support and we are thrilled and delighted at the opportunity to be a part of its continued success.”
