Stortford law firm gives bags of support to hospice’s campaign

China, unwanted gifts, clothes and musical instruments were among the items donated by Nockolds staff to raise funds for Isabel Hospice.

Team members at the Bishop’s Stortford solicitors, based in Market Square, brought in a whole host of goods to support the charity’s Tonnes of Care appeal.

The hospice’s initiative aims to save 25,000 tonnes from landfill and raise vital income to fund its life-changing care.

And the Nockolds team collected 33 bags of goods that could pay for 12 hours of care, as well as saving 264kg from going to landfill.

Isabel Hospice’s Stortford Area Support Group chair Renee Friend said: “These donations make a huge difference to the level of patient care we can continue to provide and we are extremely grateful to managing partner Darren Hayward and all at Nockolds for their continuing support.”

Nockolds has also planned a quiz night to support its charity of the year at Bishop’s Stortford rugby club on Thursday May 18. More details will be announced soon.
