IT business is switched on to students’ need for digital technology

A Bishop’s Stortford technology solutions provider has helped to reduce digital inequality by donating laptops to students.

ITVET, which has its headquarters in London Road plus key hubs in London and Manchester, gave the equipment to the Stratford School Academy as part of its Laptops for Schools initiative.

The campaign was set up after the Covid-19 pandemic highlighted that not every child has the technology to access online education and support.

The project helped it win the Nockolds-sponsored Business Personality prize at last month’s Indies community awards.

“It was a privilege to provide support to Stratford School Academy, ensuring their students have the right equipment for their learning,” said ITVET chief executive Daryl Fuller.

“ITVET is committed to long-term sustainability and supporting the communities where we live and work.

“Laptops for Schools has been an important project to us and it continues to make a difference in our communities during challenging times.”

Any firms with desktops or laptops they no longer use can donate them at www.itvet.co.uk/about/laptops-for-schools.
