A Bishop’s Stortford company that manufactures, installs, commissions and services basement pumps is switching to electric cargo bikes to beat the traffic and cut emissions.
Engineers from Packaged Pump Systems, based on the Haslemere Industrial Estate in Pig Lane, will be able to undertake approximately 50% more jobs in a day by reducing the amount of time they spend travelling.
And each engineer should also be using 8,000 fewer litres of fuel per year to significantly reduce the firm’s carbon footprint.
