Jet2 brings forward flights from Stansted to Turkish city

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have brought forward the start of their summer 2023 season from Stansted Airport to Bodrum in Turkey.

For the first time, flights will operate from the beginning of April. There will be up to two weekly services (Monday and Friday).

Chief executive Steve Heapy said: “The earlier start to the season has been done in conjunction with our partners in Turkey, who we’ve worked hard with to make this happen and is a result of a successful partnership.”

Arzu Yilmaz, director of GoTürkiye in London, said: “Bodrum has long been popular with British visitors, and we are delighted with this vote of confidence by Jet2.com and Jet2holidays in one of Turkey’s leading destinations.

“We welcome the additional flights they will be operating and are confident they will prove popular with those seeking some early summer sun.”

Bodrum is a port city in south-western Turkey, at the entrance to the Gulf of Gökova. Known in ancient Greek as Halicarnassus, it was once home to the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
